Meet The Coaches

Of Upper Merion All Stars

Owner Operator

 Alexzandria D 'Aulerio

Hello, my name is Alexzandria. For those who don’t know me and are meeting me for the first time, I am the Owner-Operator of UMAS—a position I’ve proudly held for the last eight years. For those who are already part of the UMAS family, I am simply known as “DDA”; that’s “D-D-A” said very quickly! :)

Coaching All Star Cheer is the greatest passion of my life, second only to being a mother, a wife, and a family-first woman, all while remaining a constant student of both parenting and the cheer game.

I believe my destiny as a coach started at a very young age in showcase and competitive dance. All the way into my teen years, I was pushed by incredible teachers to be the very best version of myself. This eventually led me to teaching and coaching in both dance and cheer. From those early days to this very moment, coaching has fulfilled my entire being. Even after nearly two decades in this role, it still feels brand new at the start of every single season. It never gets old! New seasons, new athletes, new goals... what a life.

I feel incredibly accomplished, fulfilled, and thankful to be in the position I am today. Coaching every new cheerleader who walks through the UMAS doors is another chapter in the exciting adventure of my ever-evolving life!

 Coach Tory

Hi! My name is Coach Tory. I’ve been a cheerleading coach for about 16 years. Before coaching, I was a rec, high school, and all star cheerleader myself. I have been a coach at Upper Merion Allstars since the beginning! This is my thirteenth season here and I am so excited to work with Clementines, our tiny prep team, Halis, our senior level 5, and Midnight, our U18-NT Worlds team this season.

When I’m not coaching, I work as a speech-language pathologist with students in 5th through 8th grade. I’m also a mother to three - Camilla, Jace, and Nova. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to share this passion with my oldest daughter who is also a cheerleader here in our tiny program.

I’m so excited for another great year at UMAS and cannot wait to see what this season brings 🤩💕🍊

 Coach Ang

I’m Coach Ang!

I have been at UMAS for seven seasons, but I have been coaching since I was 18 and have cheered my whole life. Last season, I coached Youth 3 Crystals, Junior 4 Ice, and Extra Small (XS) Senior 6 Midnight.

I have two girls in the program: my oldest is in the elite program and my youngest is in the prep program. Outside of the gym, I work full-time in the medical field as an Operational Supervisor for Medical Appeals.

I can’t wait to meet all the new faces. Bring on season nine! Welcome to the family! 💙🧡

Hi everyone 👋🏻 I’m Coach Maureen, and this will be my 11th  season with UMAS! This season I’m coaching Youth Blue 🩵, Frost ❄️, and Ice 🦄 and I couldn’t be more excited!!

Outside of the cheer world, I’m a criminal defense attorney, but I’m currently enjoying a much needed, long break to be home with my kids 🥰 I have two daughters — Hazel, who’s entering her third year of cheer, Olive, who’s starting her second, and Fonz who is 6 months 😊

I feel beyond grateful to be doing something I truly love, surrounded by people who mean so much to me 🧡💙 Season 13 is going to be amazing, and I can’t wait to get started! 🤩

Hi everyone! I am Coach Jennifer, and I have been with UMAS since 2014. I started my coaching career at the age of 14. I am extremely lucky, grateful, and blessed to be able to share my passion for cheerleading for the past 41 years with our UMAS athletes. I have had the pleasure of coaching our Level 1 athletes all the way up to our Level 6 Worlds athletes. In 2021, I was honored to bring home the Bronze Globe from the Cheerleading Worlds with Royals, X-Small Coed. Besides coaching at UMAS, I am also the travel coordinator for our teams.

When I am not at the gym, I am working as a Legal Administrator for an Investments firm in Malvern.

Looking forward to another amazing year at UMAS!

Janice Rubbo, Business Manager for Upper Merion All Stars

Janice

Coach Janice

Hi there!  I am Coach Janice and also the Business Manager at UMAS!  This season I will be coaching Raindrops, Mini Blue and Junior Blue!

I have been with UMAS from the very first year as a parent and have grown with the program into other roles such as videographer, social media, pro shop and most proudly as a Coach 3 seasons ago to our prep teams!

I really enjoy working with our beginner, level 1 and level 2 athletes and seeing them gain new skills and confidence is the most rewarding part of being in the UMAS family.

I work at Merck during the day as a Project Associate and live in King of Prussia with my husband Phil and am the proud mom of three!  My son Philip is currently studying Cybersecurity at RIT in NY, my daughter Jocelyn who just graduated after 11 seasons with UMAS and is attending the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss! 💙❤️) studying elementary education and my youngest daughter Sydney Claire who is a Senior in High School and is on the Varsity and Competition cheer team this year.

I can’t wait to meet all our new athletes and be a part of your daughter or son’s experience in their all star journey!  Welcome to the Fam 👋 ! 💕🍊

 Coach Steph

Hi! I’m Coach Steph.

This will be my 5th year at UMAS (I took a little pause last year for my first baby girl!). I have many years of experience coaching both rec and all-star, starting out cheering with Coach A and Tory and coming back to UMAS over 10 years later! #fullcircle

I am a pediatric occupational therapist by day, and I’m a new mom to a crazy, energetic little girl, Lainey! I love to bring some FUN into practices and classes! Can’t wait for season 12!!

 Coach Nick

I’m Coach Nick! I’ve been at UMAS for four seasons and am going on my ninth year coaching. I’m one of the tumbling coaches at UMAS and work with all elite teams throughout the season. I cheered for five years (2010–2013, 2015, and this past season) and have been tumbling for a little over twelve years.

I love working with athletes of all skill levels and helping with injury rehab and strength training. I can’t wait to meet all the new athletes and spend another year coaching at UMAS! 💙🧡

 Coach Lexi

Hello everyone! My name is Lexi! I have been at UMAS for 9 years both coaching and as an athlete. I have been a cheerleader pretty much since birth as my mom also coaches here! I also have a little sister who is on Midnight 🕛 🌙, and I help out with a lot of the tumbling at UMAS 🧡

Outside of cheerleading, I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree from Saint Joseph’s University and now work as a litigation paralegal on the trial team at Morgan & Morgan 💛 while working towards law school next fall! 🏫 👩🏼‍🎓

This is my second year coaching Electric ⚡️ and I cannot wait to coach this team again! Coming off of back-to-back Regional Summit Championships 🥇 🏆, I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this talented group of girls! I’m also super excited to coach a brand new team to the program, Teal 👗🩵.

I can’t wait to see what this season holds for this amazing program! 143 💞

 Coach Ashley

Hi, I’m Coach Ashley, and this will be my first season coaching with UMAS 🧡💙! This year, I’ll be coaching Youth Blue 🩵 (Prep 1.1). I have over 20+ years of cheer experience as both an athlete and a coach, and I previously served as the Director of Cheer for a youth program. This is where it all begins, and I am so excited to help our athletes build confidence and develop a love for this sport!

Outside of cheer, I work full-time at Merck and stay busy with my two amazing kids—Carter (10) and Chloe (4). We also can’t forget our crazy Goldendoodle, Charlie (5), who keeps us all on our toes!

This will actually be Chloe’s second season cheering with UMAS, and she loved it so much that it inspired me to jump in on the coaching side! I’m passionate about helping athletes build strong fundamentals, grow their confidence, and most importantly, have fun while learning and succeeding.

Most of all, I am beyond excited for the start of UMAS Season 13! 🤩 I know this season is going to be filled with growth, new skills, friendships, unforgettable memories, and so much fun. Let’s make it the best one yet! 💙🧡

 Coach Jose

Hello, I am Coach Jose!

I am excited to start the new season, which will be my 5th season here at Upper Merion Allstars. I have been involved in cheerleading—both competing and coaching—for the past 15 years. I coach both tumbling and stunting. When I am at the gym, I am constantly moving between teams and classes, coaching throughout the day.  Coach Kylie

Hi everyone! I’m Coach Kylie and this will be my 11th season here at UMAS! This season I will be coaching Turquoise (our youth level 2), Ice (our junior level 4), and Citrus (our junior level 6)!

I cheered for a total of 20 years, with 8 of those years being with UMAS! While competing on Royals, I had the amazing privilege of receiving a bronze medal at the Cheerleading World Championships in 2021! Following this, I went on to graduate from West Chester University before deciding to coach full-time here at the gym. :)

UMAS truly is my home away from home. I feel so grateful to be surrounded by so much love and I look forward to sharing my passion for cheer with so many amazing athletes and friends! 🤍

Coach Kim

 Coach Kim

Hello everyone!

My name is Coach Kim, and I’m so excited to kick off another incredible season with Upper Merion All Stars!

I’ve been involved in the cheer world in many different roles since I was 18 years old — on both the East Coast and the West Coast. Cheerleading has been a lifelong passion of mine, and it’s even more special because it’s something I share with my three amazing daughters, who are 26, 23, and 17. I have the absolute joy of coaching alongside my daughter Alexa here at UMAS, and I think we make a pretty great team!

When I’m not at the cheer gym, I’m immersed in my other passion: fundraising and event planning. I work full-time as a senior Director of Advancement at a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality education to marginalized and underserved students. I also have the privilege of directing and choreographing full-length musical productions with students in North Philadelphia and it is very rewarding to uplift and empower young people through the arts. You can find me in Cape May during the summer hanging on the beach and paddle boarding with my Lab Jasper.

I’m always thrilled to start a new season with UMAS. I can’t wait to see all of our returning athletes and to meet the new faces joining our cheer family.

 Coach Jimmy

I’m a paragraph. Double click me or click Edit Text, it's easy.

Hello, I am Coach Jimmy—the guru of all things athletic! From the simple act of placing a Band-Aid over a broken fingernail to the intricate taping of just about any injury an athlete could (and at times does) sustain, I've got it covered.

I have been the Strength and Conditioning Coach running the program here at UMAS for the last six years, alongside holding a hands-on assistant coaching position for our Worlds teams. While other life adventures and events temporarily took me away, my journey somehow always led me back to coaching. It is a career that has spanned nearly 50 years across multiple sports, ultimately landing me at an almost second-home comfort level here, coaching cheerleading into my late 60s!

I am an extremely lucky man, father, and grandfather to have and to hold such a position. Spending these years coaching and teaching a new generation of athletes and rising stars makes me truly blessed!

 Coach Nikki

Hi everyone! My name is Nikki Penna, and I am so excited to be part of Season 13!

I come with over 20 years of cheerleading experience, including coaching with Wiss Rec, coaching at Upper Dublin High School, and coaching Villanova Club Cheer & Mascot. I have twin girls, Ariana & Mikayla, who have also joined UMAS this year and are on Teal!

My background includes building competitive and national-level routines, stunt progression, choreography, team development, and helping athletes grow both on and off the mat.

I am passionate about creating an environment that brings energy, excitement, confidence, & hard work.

I can’t wait for an amazing Season 13 with all of you!
